The Rover 12hp first appears at the 1908 Olympia Motor Show, showing a single model for the 1909 model year. It is a four-seater tourer with access to the rear seats provided by turning away a front seat. Unfortunately, there is no illustration of this model.

It is not certain whether the two-seater was offered as early as 1908, as it was not seen at either the 1907 Olympia Motor Show (for the 1908 model year) or the 1909 Olympia Show (for the 1910 model year).

The coupé is actually a landaulette, with the rear roof section folding down.
The assignment of the illustration to the 12hp is not entirely clear, as the exhibition reports do not include an illustration and the representation of the steering equipment differs greatly from that of the two- or four-seaters.
