Pressure feed, Sump has capacity for 1½ gallons of oil
Normal consumption about 1,000 m.p.g.
Mechanical pump circulates oil through filter, which is instantly detachable for cleaning
After passing through engine, oil is again filtered before return to sump

Of special close-grained cast iron, 3 rings

Side-by-side valves, enclosed by aluminium dust and noise proof cover which is quickly detachable

Four-speed gearbox, direct drive on top, shafts run on ball-bearings
Gear ratios: 4.375, 7.15, 11.4, and 18.5
Reverse pinions only in motion when in use, ratio 15.4
Right hand gear control
Three speed gearbox fitted at option to open model 2-vand 4-seaters
Ratios: First, 14.4 : 1; second, 7.56 : 1; third, 4,375 : 1
Lower gear ratios can be fitted if desired
Transmission
Worm axle, absolute silent, semi-floating type
Hardy joint between clutch and gearbox
Tubular torque member relieves springs of all driving strain
Springing
Semi-elliptic springs throughout
Spring shackles always in tension, preventing wear and rattle
Springs enclosed in leather gaiters, packed with grease
Shock absorbers of the D.N. oil damper pattern are fitted front and rear, and ensure smooth riding over the worst roads

Ball thrust bearings ensure light steering, aided by inclined stub axles
All steering connections of extreme solidity
Steering wheel 17 ins in diameter, ebonite covered, and with special hand grips
Brakes
Foot brake on four-speed model operates in drum behind gearbox, internal expanding
Drum ribbed to assist cooling on long descents
Adjustment by single wing nut, easily accessible
On three-speed model foot brake is external contracting
Hand-brake internal expanding in drums on rear wheels, compensated for equal pressure, with handy adjusting nuts
Wheels and Tyres
5 Steel artillery, quickly detachable, with secure fixing
All wheels, including spare, fitted with Dunlop cord heavy tyres 815 x 105

Coachwork to any standard Rover colour (chart at all agents)
