| Engine |
| The four cylinders are cast in one block, with detachable cylinder head carrying valves and rocker gear. The camshaft is in the crankcase, and is driven by silent chain from the crankshaft. The pistons are made of special cast iron, and are very light yet extremely strong. Two rings are fitted at the top of the piston, the lower of these being a scraper ring. The crankshaft is very sturdy and stiff, and is carefully balanced to ensure smooth running. |

| Lubrication |
| Every main bearing and big-end is lubricated under pressure, oil being forced from a gear-type pump located at the lowest point of the sump through the hollow crankshaft, the cylinder walls being lubricated by splash. The sump holds practically a gallon of oil, and is provided with a large size filter. |

| Cooling |
| The engine is water cooled by pump circulation, which is extremely efficient and renders the fitting of a fan unnecessary. |
| Ignition |
| Coil and battery ignition (Lucas make) is fitted, rendering easy starting and slow running, a feature. The distributor is accessibly placed on the dynamo casing. |
| Fuel System |
| The tank, which is located in the dash, holds 6 gallons, and feeds to the carburetter by gavity. A two-way tap is provided to gine warning when the supply is running low. |

| Electrical Equipment |
| Lucas 12-volt starting and lighting set is fitted, the dynamo being driven by adjustable chain. A battery meter is fitted on dash board, showing at all times the state of charge of the accumulator. |
| Transmission |
| The clutch is of the cork insert type, and is extremely sweet in action. Gearbox provides three speeds and reverse, with central change-speed lever. The propeller shaft is enclosed in a torque tube, and has a central bearing. The back axle is of worm drive type, and perfectly silent. |

| Brakes |
| All four wheels have large internal-expanding brakes, operated by rod connections with easy adjustment. The foot brake applies brakes on all four wheels, the hand brake operating the rear wheel brakes. |

| Front springs are semi-elliptic, and rear springs quarter-elliptic. Shock absorbers are fitted at both front and rear. |
