ROVER 200 Mark II

With the successor of the first ROVER-200 series "213/216", ROVER has created a model series with a breadth never before seen in the company's history after the Second World War. In addition to the five-door models, there were three-door, the coupé and the convertible - each in different versions. Not to forget the 400 series as saloon and tourer on the same platform.

But first things first:

• 1989 the five-door hatchback version of the 214 appears first, followed by the 216 and later also 216DOHC - 220 - 220T - 218D and 218TD.
• 1991 the three-door hatchback versions follow: 214 8v und 214 16v, 216 SOHC, 216 DOHC and 220.
• 1992 the independent Coupés 216 - 220 - 220T (later K-Series 1.8 VVC) are launched on the market.
• 1993 the pretty two-door convertibles 214 - 216 - 220 are added.

Great importance is attached to "family resemblance": The car front is oriented to that of the ROVER SD1 .
After the "facelift" of the ROVER 800 , the front views of the 200 - and 400 - series are also adapted.

1989-95 ROVER 200 Mark II Saloons
	The result of another fruitful team work with Honda. The second 200 series, whose front is initially still oriented on the front of the SD1 and the Rover 800 series, is adapted to the new Rover look after a short construction period and is given a radiator grille in keeping with Rover tradition.
