Very rigid; built on the duplex principle.
Engine
3 h.p. Held by cradle plates in front of the crank bracket. The plates are fixed in position in the frame by means of bolts pasing through T lugs, brazed on the ends of the bottom tubes of frame.
Clutch
Our own special design. Runs on ball bearings when free; devoid of all end thrust when driving, or when engine is stopped and machine is running down hill.	--
Transmission
From engine clutch to countershaft, and rhence to back wheel by roller chains of special strength.	Belt.
Silencer
Special design, fitted forward of engine, most efficient.
Tank
Fixed in top of frame, containing petrol and lubricating oil, separated by a double partition.
Petrol Capacity
Sufficient for 150 miles.	In 23 in. frame for 150 miles, in 21 in. frame for 120 miles.
Accumulator and Coil
A case is fitted behind the seat tube, in which are tightly packed two accumulators and a high-speed trembler coil. The case is closed by a sliding door, fastened by a wing nut.
Engine Control
The large rear lever on top tube actuates the friction clutch	--
The right-hand lever of the rear pair on top tube controls the ignition, while the left-hand lever works the throttle valve. The left-hand inverted lever on handle-bar governs the exhaust valve lifter. A patent two-way switch is fitted on right side of handle-bar.
Brakes
Front and back rim, very powerful, actuated by inverted levers.	One, very effective back-pedalling band brake, with a device added which allows the machine to be wheeled backwards, and a safety trigger is provided which at the first revolution of the crank throws the brake into gear, should the rider have forgotten to do so. The other, a front rim brake, actuated by the right-hand inverted lever.
Wheels
26 x 2 1/2 in., equal. Bearings extra large.	26 x 2 1/4 in. equal. Bearings extra large.
