The stately appearance of the ROVER 800 aroused the interest of some bodywork companies specialising in conversions and extensions.
ROVER itself experimented with an extended four-door version, which, however, was not realised.
Our little excursion covers the four most important conversion variants. The various long versions also found favour with governmental institutions, from municipalities to ministries.
Funeral businesses also ordered six-door long versions in addition to the actual funeral cars.
