The text of the advert is partially badly readable, therefore it is repeated here:

The new Rover Seventy-Five ...

The coachwork of the new Rover Seventy-five attracts immediate interest. Generally lower and wider, it combines extra comfort (more leg, elbow and head-room) with a lower centre of gravity necessary for road holding at the high speeds of which the new car is capable.

There are equally important mechanical improvements. The suspension system gives remarkably smooth riding, all passeners being comfortably seated between the two axles. Telescopic dampers are now used on front as well as rear axles, whilst variable rate rear springs ensure that the frequency of the rear suspension remains stable whether the car is ‘light’ or has a full load of passengers and luggage. Chassis lubrication is virtually eleiminated by the use of rubber and sealed bearings.

The remarkable ‘Seventy-five’ engine is further improved in power and economy; and well-tried features such as a controlled freewheel and clutchless gearchange are retained. The gearchange lever is now mounted on the steering column to give grater ease of driving and more leg space for passengers.

All the fine qualities associated with the Rover name are here - silence of running, quality of mechanical and coachwork finish and lightness of control - plus the fruits of ten years’ wartime and postwar progress.

... the latest of Britain’s Fine Cars
