So many reasons why ...
... 1957 is a ROVER year

The technical staff of the Rover organisation has secured a place in history for all time: It was the first to create a gas turbine car that could serve as the basis for building a practical vehicle of this type.

Rover was the first British factory to also produce an automatic transmission with automatic overdrive. This transmission - characterised by its softness, simplicity and reliability - was designed and manufactured by Rover and will be installed in the Rover 105/R, which will be exported soon.

Already known in Europe is the sparkling new Rover 105/S. This car is powered by a 108 HP engine with dual carburettor, so it is very fast and combines excellent performance in every respect with the traditional Rover advantages of softness, smoothness and easy handling. Automatic power transmission and luxury equipment are standard.

Both the 105/R and the 105/S use very little fuel. Like the two-litre 60, 75 and 90 models, they are characterised - as members of the Rover family - by low maintenance costs and a high resale value.
