Owen, Sir Alfred

Sir Alfred Owen is the owner of British Racing Motors (BRM), a famous Formula 1 racing team, who built and successfully used several gas turbine racing cars with ROVER turbines in 1963 and 1965.
BRM won the 1962 World Constructors' Championship, his rider [⇒ Graham Hill] became world champion. In 1963,1964,1965 and 1971 BRM achieved 2nd place in the World Constructors' Championship. 1977 the Formula 1 participation ended.

Oxley, Dick

Dick Oxley is Chief Engineer (Cars) in 1961. His department makes the cars ready for production. His services include, among others, the production specifications for the "Range Rover" and the "P6".
