The Engines

Eight-cylinder V-engine - six-cylinder - four-cylinder - diesel engine - all can be found in the different models of the SD1 series.

The 1980 engines were used for comparison.

The ROVER eight-cylinder engine, already known from the series P5B and P6, is shown here in the version for the ROVER 3500 Vanden Plas , built 1980.

The six-cylinder engines of models 2300 and 2600 do not differ externally.

The four-cylinder engine of model 2000 comes from Leyland - shelves.

The diesel engine of the model 2400 SD comes from VM Motori from Italy.
