ROVER SD1 Safety features, using the example of the 1982 model year.

A selection of safety features that were not standard equipment at the time but can be found in every ROVER SD1 Mark II :

1. Dual-circuit braking system
2. defroster nozzles for the side windows
3. Electrically adjustable door mirrors
4. Anti-glare interior mirror with safety bracket
5. All important controls directly on the steering wheel
6. Warning lights for brake system, brake fluid and lamp failure
7. Windscreen made of laminated glass glued to the car body
8. Integrated reinforcing struts in the doors as side impact protection
9. Safety steering column
10. Foamed steering wheel with large impact absorber
11. Padded dashboard
12. Padded glove compartments under the instrument panel
13. Protected retractor for front seat belts (not shown)
14. Belt buckles of the seat belts anchored directly to the front seats
15. Adjustable headrests
