ROVER 'SD1'

Technology - Overview

1976 - 1986

The ROVER 3500 - first model of the SD1 series - astonished the experts. People were amazed in many ways:

The 'P6' series was technically very spoiled. Therefore, a successor model was expected that would again set new standards.

In addition, a successor to the prestigious 'P5' series was years overdue.

The trade press certainly did not expect an upper middle or upper class car with a large tailgate. In this respect one would have preferred to see a more conservative ROVER.

It's worth taking a look at some details.
