Front Suspension and Rear Axle

The well-known McPherson - shock absorber suspension with stepped spring and improved seals offers even better guidance characteristics.
Disc brakes are used on the front axle.

For the rear suspension an advanced version of the rigid axle design was chosen, which ensures a well controlled up and down movement, but strongly limits the longitudinal movement of the axle - in terms of road holding and good driving characteristics. Later an automatic level control is integrated.
Drum brakes are initially used on the rear axle.
