Even before the end of the 'Mark I' variant of the SD1 series, the 'V8-S' model will be offered. It remains on the market for almost a year, followed by the 'Vanden Plas' and 'Vitesse' variants.
It is the most powerful SD1 of the 'Mark I' variant, and almost their swan song: a 3500 equipped with numerous special features. Only one year on offer, it represents the transition to the 'Vanden Plas' and 'Vitesse' variants. It is advertised as 'The ultimate Rover'.
